There’s no stopping potter Louise now she’s back in the studio and working towards her Agored Cymru qualification in pottery.

Louise, loves working with clay but had been waiting for the lockdown restrictions to ease before getting back to her creative sessions.

She travels from her home at Tyn-Y-Wern House to The Hub in Pontypridd to take part in classes with tutor Karen Trevelyan-Sharpe.

For this part of her qualification, Louise is making a pinch pot with support from Karen.

Karen said: “Louise loves all arts and crafts, but she has a natural affinity for pottery.

“When we were finally allowed to welcome people we support back to The Hub, it was great to see how pleased Louise was to start pottery again.

“As well as making the pinch pot, she’ll be decorating it too. It’ll be terrific to see the finished product and for Louise to get her certificate.”

At The Hub, the people supported at services in the area can participate in a range of sessions, including crafts, sports, health and wellbeing and life skills.

Louise is on track to receive her credited certificate in pottery later this year.
