Accredited Learning & Development Centre

Our Head Office location hosts our ‘Training Suite’ which is a state of the art purpose designed facilitiy that is able to facilitate all of our training programmes from theory sessions to practical training. The training suite can accommodate up to a maximum of 20 delegates.

In 2007 the Company had a vision of becoming self sufficient in terms of its training provision to ensure consistent quality and cost efficiency. The Company aslo recognises the value in succession planning and internally developed skills. Currently the Values in Care Learning and Development Centre runs courses accredited by BVS, City and Guilds and the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health.

Qualification and Credit Framework (QCF)

Our centre has approval from City and Guilds to deliver the following qualifications:

  • Health and Social Care Diploma at level 2 and level 3
  • Leadership in Health and Social Care at level 5
  • PTLLS Trainers Qualification at level 3 and level 4
  • TAQA (Training, Assessment, Quality Assurance) Assessors Award

Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH)

The Chartered Institute of Environmental Health has approved Values in Care as a Chartered Centre with approval to deliver the following qualifications:

  • Food Safety level 2
  • Emergency First Aid level 2 and level 3

Statutory Training

Values in Care has developed and qualified internal trainers who have displayed their occupational competence to delever the following courses:

  • Fire Safety
  • Health and Safety/Infection Control
  • Food Safety level 2
  • First Aid level 2
  • Moving and Handling
  • Protection of Vulnerable Adults (POVA)
  • Medication

Specialist Training

  • Positive Behavioural Management Theory and Practical (accredited by the Bro Morgannwg Abertawe NHS Trust)
  • Autism
  • Aspergers
  • Active Support
  • Values, Attitudes, Equality and Diversity
  • Epilepsy
  • Inclusive Communication
  • Person Centred Approaches

Values in Care has an inclusive approach to learning and development and encourages the personal development of every employee in addition to their statutory training. Every employee is provided with a professional development portfolio at the commencement of their employment which they regularly develop with their manager.
